Mision camisa para Joeria

Over Christmas I did a variation to the Lydia shirt for my sister in law.. My original idea came from the following limitations:
1. time frame: xmas pressie
2. who the present was for: my sis in law who was pregnant
3. the material I wanted to use for her: a green silky fabric that i thought would look great with her skin tone, but was not elastic. See my jpg mark up of the original pattern for details

I made it ;-) On time...

I got the pattern from http://www.burdastyle.com/ , as usual... but of course.... i changed it .-) Like this
Lydia 3197 was modified to give it more room around the tummy, as she was pregnant at the time... and as the material was not stretcheable .. the neck too was changed, and so was the neck line...

Pj number 2 (For David)

This time was for a present (I can hardly consider sewing for my niece as a present... she is family if you know what i mean :-)... the little one is a boy.... his parents from very far apart lands (hence the plane...which he better get used to as he will need to use it frequently to visit all grand pas and mas)...
I used my grandma´s fabrics mixed with some of the african wax cotton i used in the past for a dress... I am glad that I dont believe in pink and blue life... this way is simple . You mix as you like! Green IS the answer.
I also made him one of the birds from that lovely mobile....

Completed. I like it. And took me much less to make. Still i am nowhere near the speed of a profitable enterprise... Oh well.
